Cabot District is full of hardworking volunteers who commit a huge amount of their time to ensure that all our young people gain the very best Scouting possible to help them develop, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Recently some of our adult volunteers have been recognised by the Chief Scout for their services to Scouting, and we are delighted to announce the following awards have been granted:

 

Award for Merit

For outstanding services to Scouting

Steve Smith – Ten Tors Team & former Cabot District Commissioner

Rowland Allan – Explorer Scout Leader - Steama Explorer Unit

 

Bar to the Award for Merit

For further Outstanding services to Scouting

Terry Wright– District Appointments Chair

 

St George's Day Award 2016

Every year to coincide with St George's day - 23rd April (patron Saint of England but also to Scouting) special adult awards are presented to those who have contributed a significant amount to Scouting over many years.

We are delighted to announce that a Cabot volunteer has been recognised this year with such an award by the Chief Scout, Bear Grylls:

Graham Cooper– Cabot District Chair
